Work Schedule

Outside the mentorship meetings, Dr. Dharmashankar has many responsibilities for his family and the hospital. However, there were three main tasks he attended to at the mentorship site: reviewing charts, meeting patients, and updating the patient's medical notes.

Dr. Dharmashankar approaches his work in an orderly fashion and takes things as they come. First, he gets the patient's charts and analyzes them. Then, he steps into the operation room to check up on the patient and discusses his analysis. Afterward, he updates the patient's medical history and notes as needed.

His organizational skills while working make it easier for me to work alongside him. When he analyzes charts, I discuss them with him and learn. Then, I observe him articulately explain his readings to the patients. Afterward, I can sit down and reflect, allowing me to ask questions if needed. Fortunately, the routine flows well.
