Journal Entry #5
Product Plans

After researching the different types of cardiologists, I knew I wanted to become a pediatric cardiologist. Educating children towards healthy lives is the best preventative method to prevent cardiac diseases and problems from continuing to be the number one health issue in the United States of America. Hence, I knew my mentorship product had to contribute directly to aiding children.
I grew up with a doctor's toy set to play with. In my set, there was a stethoscope, a box filled with Band-Aids, and other medical equipment. Similarly, I want to create a heart kit; however, I want the heart kit I create to have a simple book for children. The book will be called Hero's Health Hack and will contain information regarding simple exercises and recipes that prevent the development of certain cardiac diseases.
Primarily, I need to research the cardiac diseases I want to incorporate into the book portion of the heart kit. Then, I will organize the book accordingly and collect coordinating images to use throughout. Afterward, I will finalize what items I want to include in the kit other than the book. I want to include a stress-relief item, an educational game, a 3-D model of a realistic heart, and a stethoscope to listen to heart rates. Some items will be bought, and others will be designed/animated before printing.
Currently, I have not faced any problems with the creation of my final product because I have only worked towards designing on Canva, researching the best places to buy a stethoscope, and selecting the best stress relief items for children. I believe that I will encounter problems when I begin the printing process for the book and the 3D model of the heart. I also have yet to design a box to decoratively pack the items into, so doing so may also be an issue. However, I believe I will overcome all problems that arise and complete my project in time.
